Funducation

ZooCardsTM is no ordinary game. It's FUN and it's EDUCATIONAL - it's "FUNDUCATIONAL".

ZooCardsTM teaches in a new and exciting way - a way that is not only enjoyable but also addictive. Educators will find that their students enjoy ZooCards™ so much that they will ask to play it again and again. With ZooCards™the difficulty is not how to teach your students, but how to stop them from learning once they start.

Conservation Education is the key to saving wildlife.

Each ZooCardsTM card gives you a quick informational synopses of the animal pictured on it. In addition to the ENDANGERED STATUS and population information, ZooCardsTM cards include a range map indicating the extent of the animal's native distribution. Cards also have both the animal's common and scientific names, as well as the taxonomical class and family to which the animal belongs. There's also information on the animal's size, diet and average life span. We've even included a section with interesting notes. Female cards include reproductive information, such as the gestation period and the number of offspring that are born per pregnancy.

The educational aspects of ZooCardsTM go beyond the information on the cards.

In addition to the conservation and informational aspects of the cards, basic math skills of addition and subtraction are frequently practiced, and interpersonal relationship skills are developed during player interactions. Financial responsibility and money management are practiced by players as they acquire animals to build their own zoo. All these different aspects of game play make ZooCardsTM an exceptional and “FUNDUCATIONAL” teaching tool.

Zoos play an important role in wildlife conservation and education.

That's why ZooCardsTM was designed to raise awareness of the role zoos play as conservational and educational centers in our communities. As the name implies ZooCardsTM cards will focus on displaying animals found at zoos and wildlife parks around the world. Whenever possible, when an animal from a specific zoo or wildlife park is pictured on a card, the name of the zoo or park will also be listed on the card. This information not only promotes zoos and parks, but also familiarize the public with the animals found at each location.

It is our hope that ZooCardsTM will provide a new level of interest in wildlife conservation through exciting game play and a focus on educating the public of the peril of endangered species around the world.
